24 Duos für zwei Spieler an einer Marimba von Denis Stilke
Die Marimba, oder auch „Marimbaphon“ genannt, ist ein tolles, faszinierendes Instrument. MARIMBA MAGIC möchte dazu einladen, es auf vielfältige Weise „spielend“ zu entdecken.
Schon mit relativ einfachen Mitteln kann man auf der Marimba sehr viel Musik machen und genau darum soll es hier gehen. So spannen die präsentierten Stücke einen weiten Bogen von einfachen klassischen Melodien über groovige, latinbeeinflusste Ideen, sowie über Jazzig-Bluesiges bis hin zu ungeraden Taktarten und einem an Minimal Music orientierten Werk. Dabei wird auch Raum geschaffen für Improvisationen.
Die Duos sind geeignet für einen abwechslungsreichen Schlagzeug- und Percussionsunterricht, nicht nur für Mallet-Spezialisten. Alle Stimmen werden mit zwei Malletschlägeln gespielt, und wer sich schon mit vier Schlägeln gut auskennt, kann sicher auch einiges selbstständig ausprobieren. Zur “Einfühlung” sind jedem Werk hilfreiche Hinweise vorangestellt. Alle Titel sind auf der beiliegenden CD eingespielt; einige auch mit zusätzlichen PLAY-ALONGS.
Das Hauptanliegen dieses Buches ist der „Dialog“ der Stimmen, eben das Erlebnis, zusammen zu spielen, zu hören, zu kommunizieren.
Die Besonderheiten der Stücke zusammen mit den 24 Illustrationen von Aljen machen dieses Buch zu einem Gesamtkunstwerk.
